Thrombectomy in Pulmonary Embolism (TiPE)

Welcome to the TiPE Registry — a UK-based NIHR adopted research study dedicated to improving outcomes in patients with pulmonary embolism (PE) through high-quality data collection, collaboration, and innovation.

About the TiPE Registry:
The TiPE Registry captures real-world data on patients referred to Pulmonary Embolism Response Teams (PERT) with intermediate-risk PE or higher and evidence of cardiac dysfunction. This registry provides a platform to better understand treatment pathways, clinical decision-making, and patient outcomes across the UK. A key focus includes subgroup analysis of patients undergoing computer-aided vacuum thrombectomy, helping evaluate emerging interventional techniques in PE management. Participating centres can submit and manage patient data securely, supporting a growing national dataset.
